Since 1973, our priority has been to make our students’ dreams become a reality. By teaching each student to find the magic, they are able to reach their fullest potential in the fundamentals of hair, skin, and nails. Students have made a commitment to a new career, and we have made a commitment to prepare our students for success.

At Continental Academie of Hair Design, our mission is to deliver the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the exam given by the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. We are extremely proud of the fact that we have a near 100% pass rate, an accomplishment very hard to achieve.

We go above and beyond at Continental Academie. We are dedicated to providing our graduates with the expertise and knowledge beyond the state licensing requirements, and we want our graduates to be a cut above the rest.

As an added bonus, we include an additional 50 hours exceeding the 1500 hour state requirement. These additional hours afford us the privilege for:

• Our famous Extensive Color Classes.
• Our Business Classes.
• And our Extensive Esthetics-Skin Care classes.

Our graduates are taught to explore and hone their skills to become successful salon owners, manager and stylists. Our instructors have made it a personal mission to make our students succeed.

Background

Continental Academie of Hair Design has been owned and operated since 1973. The Academie was created by two remarkable women, Rhona Charbonneau and Alida Weergang, who have been involved in the exciting field of cosmetology from around the world.

Their network of colleagues reaches from Asia to Europe and across the United States.

Their worldwide knowledge of the profession has been passed on to the entire staff and is reflected in the Academie’s teaching methods. That is why salon owners recognize Continental as one of the best in providing a solid background in the industry. This is one of the reasons why our graduates are the most sought out in the in the area.
